About Us

Bisque Bistro Owner and Managers (with Santa!)
Many ask us about our name…Bisque is the white pottery you paint on! Proper definition: Unglazed pottery that has already been fired once in a kiln. The most commonly known definition for Bistro is a restaurant. However, it is also defined as a “hot spot”. Thus the name Bisque Bistro!
Bisque Bistro first opened its doors in September of 2004. During travels, the owner Cindy Baxter, had the opportunity to visit many paint your own pottery studios. She fell in love with the concept and decided the town she loved needed one! Her vision was a local place where people could spend quality time together while creating lasting treasures. A place for birthday parties, youth, office groups, dates, ladies nights, field trips, classes or just because! As a former homeschooling mom and a lifetime advocate of reading, Cindy felt it was important to incorporate learning experiences in the studio. This is offered through Mini Monets, field trips and art camps. As a mom, she understands the need for a break sometimes...thus our weekly ladies night!
What makes Bisque Bistro a great place to be is it’s wonderful staff!
Our staff consists of teachers, moms, grandmas, seasonal college girls and a fabulous high schooler! Each one brings their own unique talents and friendliness to provide the best customer service. Our goal is to provide you with a great experience! We also try to keep things current and fresh by bringing in new pieces, displaying new techniques, hosting theme events, classes and occasionally providing other mediums beyond the bisque and mosaics.
You do not need to make an appointment and no art experience is necessary!
Stop in and see us anytime. We look forward to serving you.
